| Summary: | This game is taking place in the Social Services Centre which was opened in April, 1975. The Centre provides a Meals on Wheels service three times a week for up to forty recipients who greatly appreciate this service. The centre collects, washes and returns laundry for 2 senior citizens. A Chiropodist also provides a service from the Centre. The committee organise outings to many parts of Ireland and everyone looks forward to the Christmas party. There are fifteen on the committee and one hundred and thirty voluntary workers. There is a job for everyone and this service ensures that senior citizens are well looked after in Portarlington. . |
