The Lawrence Photographic Project 1990/1991 was a project where one thousand photographs from the Lawrence Collection in the National Library of Ireland were replicated a hundred years later by a team of volunteer photographers, thereby creating a record of the changing topography of the selected locations.

The eaborate "Missisippi Steambpat" building to the centre left was the Pavillion Entertainment Centre,built of steal and wood. The building burned down in the 1920's and was replaced in the 1930's by the non-descript Pavillion Cinema, which remains today but is scheduled for redevelopment shortly.
