Summary:St. Helena Park. In 1927 the former town dump was converted to a public park, and a bandstand was erected late that year. However, the park is probably under-utilised and comes under a certain amount of criticism. Today it is being bisected by the works of the new motorway leading to a proposed new bridge and as a result its future is uncertain.
