According to the NIAH, the shopfronts to the left date from c. 1900 (the building is from 1850).

Thompsons are there in 1901 and 1911, H.P is Henry Payne.

No John Crotty in 1901 or 1911, but his name is still on the shopfront today exactly as seen here: John Crotty, Italian Warehouse, Agent for W&A Gilbey, so I suspect this is after 1911.
