Summary: | The Ardhowen Theatre on the shore of Lough Erne in Enniskillen, is probably the most beautifully situated theatre in the country. It has a 300-seat auditorium and is used for a variety of events in addition to theatrical ones. It was designed by Tom Mullarkey of McCormick, Tracey and Mullarkey, and incorporates an Edwardian house built for a prosperous Enniskillen draper, Charles McDonagh. The boat sculpture in front of the entrance is by Ronan Halpin and the neon artwork on the windows of the foyer is by Filim Egan - a delightful piece inspired by the sight of a kingfisher flying over Lough Erne. |
