Summary: | Folio volume, bound in green vellum. This is Charles Hendrick's personal account book from 1764-1786. Hendrick's personal account book from a period when he was in partnership with his brother Edward who had been trading as a woolen draper in High Street Dublin [under the Sign of the Sun] from the early 1730's [1732 to 1764] is also held in the NLI at MS 49, 402 [1-2]. The Hendrick family lived in St. Catherine's Parish in the Liberties. The two brothers are listed in Wilson's Dublin directory of 1762 as partners in High Street but Charles is listed alone by 1763. |
