Summary:Thomas Prior of Dublin; (1681-1751), first secretary to the Dublin Society (Royal Dublin Society); friend of Lord Chesterfield; three-quarter-length, standing, directed towards left, facing and looking to front, curled wig, long coat and vest through which ends of cravat pass, hat under right arm, gloves in hand, left hand on table to right, on which papers lie inscribed 'A List of the Absentees', curtain in background to left, rectangle.
