Summary:Thomas Butler (1634-1680), Earl of Ossory, son of 1st and father of 2nd Dukes of Ormonde; half-length, face to left, in long wig, lace cravat and robes, collar and badge of the Garter. With coat of arms within a garter, with motto: "Comme Je Trouve" and coronet. Face and wig worked up, but the rest in outline. Title lettered below image within plate mark.
