Description: Letters relate to family and business matters, notably the establishment of Clarke's tobacconist shop in Amiens Street, Dublin, his work in the shop and its early takings, the progress of her pregnancy, the birth of their second son Tom in Limerick and her hopes of eventually joining him in Dublin. Also referred to in passing are her concerns over seeking support for the shop from 'Sinn Fein Gaelic League or any other of those cliques' (18/2) and her anxieties over their decision to leave New York and return to Ireland (30/3).
