Notes:First edition of W.B. Yeats's first publication. Provenance: Thomas Edwin Butler Yeats, a second cousin of the poet. When purchased by the NLI it was enclosed with a letter from Grace Yeats, daughter of Thomas Edwin Butler Yeats, to her mother. The letter has been transferred to the Department of Manuscripts, NLI, and relates somewhat to this copy of Mosada and its value. The letter was written in 1925. Yeats received the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1923.

Original printed wrappers, housed in a custom red morocco clamshell case. Condition: Wrappers carefully lined on fawn paper, front and rear wrappers with loss to inner corners, some creasing to outer edge, more significant loss to lower right corner of rear wrapper, frontispiece re-attached, new stitching, minor soiling.

Includes portrait of William Butler Yeats, by his brother, the artist, Jack B. Yeats.
