| Summary: | James Fitzharris(1843-1910), nicknamed 'Skin-the Goat', cabman and member of the Irish National Invincibles secret society; head, to right, face directed to right but looking to front, short hair with long sideburns, moustache, coat and red scarf. Four small sketches at the four corners of sheet:(1)"Waiting for Carey. In the park", with Fitzharris standing outside of carriage reading newspaper; (2)"Leaving the park", with Fitzharris on the carriage whipping the horse while escaping, with men in the carriage; (3) "Arrested", with police men seizing him while in bed, wife crying in the corner; (4)"Not guilty", sketch of Fitzharris in the trial court; coloured vignette. |
