Summary:Green coloured souvenir sticker in the shape of a shamrock (late 1950's, circa 1957), given away free on a K.L.M. flight. On recto, bright metallic green sticker, in the shape of a six leaved shamrock, with “KLM” in gold on the stem of the shamrock. It shows the air route of a little gold plane making it's way from New York (in gold letters on the extreme left of the “first leaf” of the shamrock) to Shannon (in gold letters with a prominent shamrock marking the spot in the centre of the shamrock!) to Dublin (again in gold letters) and then to Amsterdam and on to Rome (each location in gold letters on the fifth and sixth leaves).

Koninklijke Luchtvaart Maatschappij, (literally "Royal Aviation Company"; usual English translation, "Royal Dutch Airlines") is the national airline of the Netherlands and the oldest airline carrier in the world still operating under its original name having been established on the 7th of October 1919. They were the first continental European airline to launch a scheduled service to New York on the 21st of May 1946. By 1950, flights from Dublin to Manchester and Amsterdam were operated by Aer Lingus in association with K.L.M. (Royal Dutch Airlines).
