Poster issued by the American based group, The Friends of Irish Freedom following a meeting held at the Hotel Astor, New York, September 29, 1922. The poster reprints their "Declaration Adopted March 28, 1922" and ends "...Having carefully weighed all the circumstances, we are unianimously of that opinion that opposition to the Free State status should be on consitutional lines until the time comes - and come it will - when the people of Ireland, conscious of their inalienable right and of their increased strength, will give clear evidence of the fact that they are again ready to support more extremes methods in securing complete national separation from England and her robber empire".
