Summary:Illustration of the actor Arthur Sinclair, who starred in the theatre production of 'Duty' at the London Opera House (now the Peacock Theatre, Kingsway, London) in October 1917. He is shown wearing the uniform of an RIC Head Constabable (navy blue long jacket and cap) and a pair of white gloves. He holds a wine glass filled with white wine aloft in his left hand. A smaller illustration underneath the main picture shows him on the ground, having come in through an open door, obviously drunk with a bottle of alcohol lying to one side. Another police officer is shown looking down at him and a woman is shown on the extreme right of the picture, removing herself from the situation. A wine glass and a bottle of wine is shown on a table in the background.
