This broadside issued on 27th December, 1846 by Charles W. Hamilton on behalf of the landlord John Mac Donnell to his tenants states that "...Mr. Mac Donnel has authorised me to remit the half-year's rent which fell due on the first day of last November, and is usually collected in the following May, to every tenant whose rent is less than £20 per annum, and shall satisfy me, that he has properly prepared, manured and sown, with either turnips, carrots, parsnips or mangold-wurzell, one-fifth part of his farm...".
