He is plucking a scrawny chicken whose feathers "fly" around in the illustration, accumulating at Glenville's feet. Below him (on l.l.) is a smaller caricature of the actor Jack Hulbert (stage name of John Norman). Both these actors appeared in a play entitled "In the Light Blues" in the Shaftesbury Theatre, London in 1916.
