We know that not all are depraved - that in many cases we ask for a genuine sacrifice, but we do so because no good man can wear that uniform and fail to be responsible for the crimes with which it is associated in our country. if your friend is a good man he will prefer to be shot if that is the cost of throwing it off rather than continue to degrade himself and his nation by wearing it. / for Ireland's sake give all your power to work for Ireland's army that it may continue to be worthy of the grandest little nation in the world."
