Text on recto reads: "Cumann na Saoirse / Points for Canvassers / The Treaty rids us of - (1) The British Army, the instrument of British / power in Ireland. (2) A police force trained for political espionage. (3) British control of education, which was / killing the Irish language and destroying the soul of the nation. (4) British legislation. (5) British officaldom which ran the Govern- /ment of Ireland for the benefit of England. (6) British control of our purse, and British taxa- /tion which left ireland the one country in / Europe with a decreasing population. (7) The stranglehold of British on Irish trade / and industry. The treay gives us - (1) An Irish Regular Army, with modern equip- /ment, sworn to the service of Ireland. (2) An Irish Police Force designed solely for the / maintenance of law and order. (3) Irish control of education, with power to / restore the language and build up a national culture. (4) An Irish parliament with full power to make / laws and subject to NO British veto. (5) An Irish Executive subject only to the /authority of the Irish Parliament. (6) Power to develop the resources and indust- /ries of Ireland, and to stop the drain of emigration. (7) The raising and spending of our own revenue.”
