Stipple copperplate engraved invitation card to a ball hosted by the Charlotte, Duchess of Richmond, [wife of Charles Lennox, 4th Duke of Richmond who was the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland from 1807-1813] that was held in Dublin Castle Friday 27 October 1809 to celebrate George III's fiftieth year on the throne. Printed on recto: "Ladies Ticket. / A Jubilee to Celebrate the Fiftieth Anniversary of the Accession of our Great & Good King / JUBILEE BALL TICKET / Under the Patronage of Her Grace the / And the direction of Several LADIES of DISTINCTION / Friday 27th October 1809". Bears the image of Britannia on the left (with a lion at her feet) and Hibernia on right (with a harp resting beside her). Both hold an large oval image of George II wearing a laurel wreath. The oval is surmounted by a crown. A female figure (representing Dublin) approaches them; she wears a crown and holds a shield by her left hand bearing the arms of Dublin city; her right hand points to the ribbon overhead bearing the following words "A Jubilee to Celebrate the Fiftieth Anniversary of the Accession of our Great & Good King". Behind them a putto blows a horn and a ship is shown on the sea in the background.
