Mary Woods was a "safe house" keeper for Michael Collins at 9 St. Mary<U+2019>s Road, Ballsbridge, where he sometimes stayed. Letter thanks her for her trouble and mentions Mrs Quinn as a candidate as a replacement for her. Collins eventually appoints Mrs Comerford (mother of Máire) to the position.
