Summary:Travel poster issued to advertise flights from the USA to Ireland with Pan American Airlines (commonly known as 'Pan Am'). At the time of printing, 'Clippers' were the only American passenger aircraft of the time capable of intercontinental travel. At top of poster: 'Ireland by Clipper'. Below this is an image of a plane and the face of George Bernard Shaw. To the left of his image a thatched cottage and a harp are featured. To his right is a shamrock and a castle. In quotation marks beneath are the following lines: "There is no magic like that of Ireland, / There are no skies like Irish skies, / There is no air like Irish air. / The Irish climate will make the stiffest and slowest mind flexible for life".
