MS 44,788 /1-2: Two sets of legal papers and correspondence relating to the various claims upon the Braganstown estate created by the Will of Christophilus Garstin (d.1821). 1) Legal papers dating from the 1820-30s relating to claims upon the estate of the late Christophilus Garstin, main participants are his two sons Rev. Christophilus Garstin (d.1842) and Rev. Anthony Garstin. 2) Legal papers from the 1870s relating to the settling of claims on the Braganstown estate by William Garstin, heir presumptive of Rev. Anthony Garstin, mainly with Christophilus Garstin, son of Rev. Christophilus Garstin (d.1842); 26 items in 2 folders MS 44,788 /3: Papers relating to the estate of James Andrew Durham whose daughter Martha married John Ribton Garstin. Contains 4 copies of the Will of James Andrew Durham (1859), copy of the Will of Samuel Durham (1837), copy of the Will of William Thomas Toone (1856) and legal documents relating to the claim of Martha Garstin on the estate (1865-87); 12 items MS 44,788 /4: Financial papers of William Garstin. 1) Loose leaf 'Account and memorandum book of William Garstin Esquire No. 11 Blessington St. Dublin' covering the period 1839-1870s, Containing details of investment, expenditure, rents etc. NOTE many of the books pages are missing. 2) Copy Assignment of Charges on the Bragganstown Estate between William Garstin and Rev. Robert Le Poer and others, 13 July 1874; 2 items.
