Our new born liberty...
Postcard bears a reproduction of a photograph of General O'Mahony by Werner & Son, Dublin (to whom it is attributed on the front of the postcard). He is dressed in military unifrom and standing to the left of a pedestal bearing the coat of arms of the British Royal family. Underneath is the following text: 'Our new-born liberty, the friendship and trust of the British democracy, our homes, our families, all which we Irishmen hold dear are at stake in the issue of this war. It is the privilege of young men to risk their lives that Ireland may live, and that the freedom of small Nations may be won, protected and secured. O' Mahony, Grange Con. 1915'.
