Cover title.

Holograph full score.

"Fanfare for Orchestra was composed as an "occasional piece" to open the 1984 season of Promenade Concerts at the Ulster Hall. It was written at the suggestion of Terry de Winne, Manager of the Ulster Hall, and commissioned by Belfast City Council with funds from the Arts Council of Northern Ireland. Its dedication to Bryden Thomson is a token of my esteem and appreciation for his dedication to the cause of the Ulster Orchestrea over the past number of years." (page [i]).
