TLS from Eamon De Valera to Liam Deasy,
1964 October 16.
|Main Creator:||De Valera, Éamon, 1882-1975|
Regarding an article in the "Sunday Review" which he says is not accurate. Says that there was "no such meeting of officers" in the house at which he called in on his way back from Gougane Barra to Dublin. Says he did not think Michael Collins was in danger in Cork and that there was no deliberate ambush laid for Michael Collins in Beal na Blath.
With ms note from Liam Deasy, 20th October 1964, refuting what De Valera said in his letter and says that De Valera's movements that day were not clear.
