Summary:MS 34,994 /1: First volume contains the Old Testament. Title page with colophon information is missing from this volume so date is unknown. Contains the ms account about the lightning storm which hit Athlone on 27th October 1697 with a fireball igniting the town's magazine in Athlone Castle, causing an explosion which wrecked the building and much of the town. Mentions the two sieges that Athlone suffered in 1690 and 1691, during the Williamite Wars.
