Two autograph letters signed from Robert Parker, Limerick, to his father in Hull,
1826 December 11 and 15.

First letter dated 11th December 1826 informs his father that he has been imprisoned for fraud. Asks his father to send him money so that he can leave Ireland for New York. Describes the conditions in his cell.
Second letter dated 15th December 1826 informs his father of his temporary release and that if the money is not repaid to the Mr. Swinburn, he will be prosecuted. Begs his father to send money so that he can flee Ireland for New York. Says that if he is prosecuted, he will be hanged.
