1/ Autograph letter or draft letter from Cecil Rhodes to Parnell, undated [early/mid 1888], unsigned but in Rhodes' hand throughout, expressing his wish to support Home Rule for Ireland and explaining his views, criticising the provision in Gladstone's first Bill to cancel Irish representation at Westminister after Home Rule. 7 sheets.
2/ Copy of above letter on notepaper with House of Commons Library stamp, with address "Westminister Palace Hotel, London S.W." , in an unidentified hand. With added signature not in C.J. Rhodes's hand. Dated June 19th 1888. 13 sheets.
3/ Autograph letter signed from Parnell to Rhodes, dated 23rd June 1888, on House of Commons notepaper, thanking him for the letter of the 20th, and stating his own view that if Gladstone brought forward new proposals including a retention of Irish representation at Westminister. 5 sheets.
4/ Autograph letter signed from Rhodes to Parnell, dated 24th June 1888, on Westminister Palace Hotel notepaper, thanking Parnell for his letter of the 23rd and offering a contribution of £10,000 to the Irish Party, and enclosing a first instalment of £5,000. 1 sheet.
5/ Autograph letter from Rhodes to James Rochfort Maguire M.P., dated 25th March 1893, asking him to publish 'these two letters passing between Parnell and myself". Part of the last page, including the signature missing. 1 sheet folded.
6/ Autograph letter from F.H. [ ], dated 25th March, about Cecil Rhodes' education. 1 sheet.
7/ Autograph letter signed from Major H.F. McClintock, Red House, Ardee, Co. Louth, listing the correspondence between Rhodes and Parnell, dated 27th July 1945, on Kildare Street Club notepaper. He states that the letters are the property of Mr. William Verschoyle-Campbell of 9 Fitzwilliam Square. With Saorstate Eireann envelope addressed to W. Verschoyle Campbell Esq.
