Notes:	Devenish Island was the site of an important monastic complex. It was established on the Island by St. Molaise in the sixth century. The ruins in the photograph are of St. Marys Augustinian Priory, dating to fifteenth century, and the Romanesque round tower dates to the twelfth century. Robert French was the chief photographer responsible for photographing three quarters of the Lawrence Collection.
