Summary: | Included is an assignment of lands in Warrenstown, Co. Meath, 1772, to Sir John Johnson of Fort Johnson in the Province of New York, and John Dowdall. Sir John Johnson was the son of Sir William Johnson, who purchased land north of the Mohawk River near New York in 1739. In 1756 he was commissioned 'Superintendent of the Affairs of the Six Nations and other Northern Indians'. |
