Summary: | Discusses the facsimiles published by "The Times" ostensibly connecting Charles Stuart Parnell with the Phoenix Park murderers, which were later exposed as the Pigott forgeries. An extraordinarily vindictive letter, showing some fore knowledge of what the "Times" was to publish, also mentioning Gladstone, Healy and other 'infamous' persons. Prendergast is the historian of the Cromwellian Settlement in Ireland. |
