Summary:The first east-west non-stop transatlantic flight, in April 1928, from Baldonnel, Ireland to Greenly Island, Canada, in a Junkers W 33 monoplane, the "Bremen". Crew of the Bremen: Capt. Herman Köhl, Col. James Fitzmaurice and Baron Gunther Von Hünefeld.


On the 30th June, the crew of the "Bremen" were made Freemen of the City of Dublin and took park in celebrations in their honour on the 3rd and 4th July.
