Summary: | Papers of the late Lt-Col. Niall C. Harrington (1901-1981), consisting of material relating to his career in the Irish Army, his writings and research notes, his contribution to the Parnell Commemoration Association and scripts for broadcasts on historical topics on Radio Eireann. The collection also includes papers of his father, T.C. Harrington MP, BL (1851-1910). Correspondents of T.C. Harrington includes: Charles Stewart Parnell. As noted in Accession Record: Additional material concerning article by Stephen Collins in The Sunday Tribune, January 2003, claiming that Tim Harrington proposed an address of welcome for the King on his visit to Ireland in 1903 (manuscript material refutes this claim).
