The Siege of Tim Quinlan's Castle: or "Up Guards and at Them!"
[graphic]: An Old Lady, who has had a a domestic squabble, wishing to eject some of her relatives from her cabin, which she has built under the frowing walls of Tim Quinlan's Castle, calls on the British Army to assist her. They are, however, but partially successful, for though they gallantly carry the position by storm, they have scarely proceeded to evacuate the district when a little girl [Mrs. Mulcahy's aide-de-camp] runs after them, with the information that the enemy had re-occupied the stronghold. Mr. FORSTER has been again communicated with, and it is expected that an effort will be made to bring the Fleet overland to the scene of the action. With a strong contingent from the Indian army co-operating with the home forces, this measure it is hoped will successfully reduce the place and establish Mrs. Mulcahy in the peaceful possession of her cabin.
