Salisbury:-"I was in great hopes that this instrument had been permanently injured, but, alas, it seems to be in perfect tune again. My intention was to play the old familiar air of Local Government, but I fear now it is a bit stale.".
Balfour:-"Never mind, I have got a complete novelty, which is sure to catch those hungry Irish - I call it Degrading Charity. Come let us rehearse it!".
