All round coercion
Gl-ds-tone (to Irish Judges) "You have been continually complaining that Irish juries will not convict prisoners ; and when I make you Judges, Juries, Hangmen, and all, you won't have that. Now, I will have you to do as you wish, whether it brings the judicial office into contempt or not. As for evidence, the police shall supply that. So, ghee-hup! Get on there!".
