The old man and his ass
Landlord-"I say, the fellow who's riding your donkey is hitting to hard." ; Northern Farmer-"Not at all ; he does not hit hard enough. Keep the animal till it. Here, take my stick, and you'll soon get him over yon [sic] bridge."
Sub-Commissioner-"I say, father, will you get up, and drive this ass yourself. I cannot please either of them, I find, and I feel very shaky in my seat." / Gl-dst-ne-"I do really begin to feel nervous about my donkey being able to cross the bridge."
