On the centre-pieces coats-of-arms are engraved, that on the upper cover being the paternal coat of Edward Wetenhall, bishop of Cork and Ross in 1679, of Kilmore and Ardagh in 1699. The silver clasps, catches, corner and centre-pieces are taken from an older binding.
