The history of the New Testament, being an historical account of the incarnation, nativity, life, actions, death and passion, resurrection and ascension of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ;

with a summary of his discourses or sermons, his miraculous cures, &c. with the lives of the apostles, extracted out of sacred scriptures and writings of the fathers, for the government of our actions in all conditions. Illustrated with sculptures; aptly and acurately delineated and engraven by skilful artists, for the better and more lively representation thereof. Translated from the works of the learned Le Sieur de Royaumont, by Joseph Raynor, B.D. and supervised by Dr. Anthony Horneck, Henry Wharton, B.D. &c. And for the perfecting the said work, and rendring it more acceptable to the curious, is added an historical chronology of such matters as are related in the canonical books of the Old and New Testament, and divided according to the seven periods of the world, used in history.
