Notes:Issued together with "Historiae Anglicanae scriptores quinque", which forms volume II of "Rerum Anglicarum scriptorum veterum" (Wing F2525), with a collected half-title that reads: "Historiae Britannicae et Anglicanae Scriptores XX. Duobus voluminibus comprehensi". This may lead to some confusion, since "Historiae Britannicae" is logically and chronologically to be considered the final volume in the series, although it is bound in front of "Historiae Anglicanae scriptores quinque", dated 1687. Besides the half-title, "Historiae Britannicae" has a leaf of contents to both "Historiae Britannicae" and "Historiae Anglicanae". The addition of "Historiae Anglicanae" may simply have resulted from the fact that Thomas Gale edited both and that "Historiae Anglicanae" bears the mention "Vol. II" (i.e. v.2 of Rerum Anglicarum scriptorum veterum).

First leaf bears half-title on recto and imprimatur on verso.

With an index.

Text continuous despite pagination.
