| Notes: | Original description for this photograph was 'The Fisherman'. In 2011, one of our Flickr Commons users, Mossy Carey, with the help of the community of Portmagee, identified this man as Tadhg Devane, aged 58, a fisherman and boatbuilder and "a great character". Tadhg died in 1968, aged 63. His family still live in Portmagee, Co. Kerry. Featured in the National Library of Ireland's "Photo Detectives" exhibition at the National Photographic Archive, Dublin, 2017-2018.
