to Fanny Busher/
from John Barry,
1886 May 6.
|Main Creator:||Barry, John, b. 1845.|
Gladstone's treatment of Ireland - "Had the General Election given him a majority of 50, he would have lashed us with Coercion again, and tonight I devoutly thank God that I had a hand in robbing him of that 50 seats in England." Disagrees with Busher's view re attendance of Irish members at Parliament after establishment of Home Rule. Intends to retire from politics when Home Rule is in force. Hopes to meet Busher shortly.
