Maria, Countess of Coventry, née Gunning, (1733-1760), 1st wife of George William, 6th Earl of Coventry and eldest daughter of John Gunning of County Roscommon ; celebrated beauty ; three-quarter-length, seated, directed, facing and looking to right, hair in large plaits twined with muslin veil on head, dress sprigged with flowers, open at neck, necklace, wide belt with round clasps, right hand in lap, left elbow on knee, supporting head on left hand.
