Emily Charlotte De Burgh, Countess of Cork & Orrery, (1828-1912), wife of Richard Boyle, 9th Earl of Cork & Orrery, daughter of Ulick, Marquess of Clanricarde ; three-quarter length, body to right, head facing and looking to left, seated, right arm on open book on table to left, left elbow on table and left hand touching hair, hair parted in centre with long curls on sides and bun at back, low dress with short sleeves trimmed with lace, dark shawl around left arm, bracelets on each wrists, detail of pillar and vegetation in background; octagonal frame.
