Cartouche with title, flanked on either side by full-length portraits of Richard II, (1367-1400), and Henry VII, (1457-1509), kings of England. In ovals above title are head & shoulder portraits of Charles I, (1600-1649), and his wife Henrietta Maria, (1609-1669). Beneath cartouche is a battle scene from the War of the Roses, (1399-1485), showing the armies of the Lancasters and the Yorks shooting arrows at each other.

The plate for the engraved title page was originally used in 1618 in "Baziliologia". The title and imprint have been reworked, and the portraits of James I and Anne of Denmark in the ovals above the title have been replaced with portraits of Charles I and Henrietta Maria.
