| Notes: | A parody of Byron's A sketch from private life, one of two with this title, but differing text, published in 1816, the other being published by W. Hone. First line reads: Born in the Chamber of the rich and great. "Printed by S. Gosnell ... London"-- Verso of t.p. (p. [2]) and foot of p. 8. Harvard University attributes the poem to Montagu Montagu, based on the fact that the work is bound as no. 1 in a volume of his privately printed leaflet and broadside poems. Cf.
