Janet from a sketch by Kremer on p. 368 of the French journal 'Le Monde Illustré', 1881 of a battle between the police, led by Captain Plunkett who surprised agitators ["les Fenians (Moonlights)"] who were about to enter the house of a Mr. Pomeroy, near Millstreet, County Cork. The two groups exchanged fire and the son of a farmer was killed in the battle. Paste don verso is an account of the incident.
