Summary:Newsclipping of the iIllustration featured on the cover of French journal "Journal des Voyages et Des Aventures de Terre et de Mer", p. 401, dated 28 November 1897. Depicts an image of a procession of patriotic Irish groups and associations - members of the Irish Republican Socialist Party, various socities, students from the Catholic University, workers from Dublin port - all carrying black flags (with the names of those decalred martyrs who died for Ireland sewn on) and a coffin inscribed with the words "British Empire". They pass the front of Dublin Castle which is decorated with fairy-lights and streamers to celebrate the diamond anniversary of Queen Victoria's reign. Accompanied by an article printed on verso, p. 402 by Maud Gonne.
