Summary: | Between 10th and 12th August 1853 the Royal Agricultural Improvement Society of Ireland held their exhibition in Killarney to mark the opening of the Killarney Junction Railway Line. The scene depicted shows crowds in the grounds of the Royal Victoria Hotel, with a distant view of the Vice Regal party arriving by boat across the lakes from Mucross. |
