The Prince Baltasar Carlos, Prince of Asturias, heir to the Spanish throne, (1629=46), full length, full face, dressed in a black plumed hat, black dress embroidered with gold, lace collar, shoes and gauntlets. He holds a gun in his right hand while his left hand rests on a sword. A large dog lies on his left and two greyhounds are on his right. A crimson curtain hangs above.
